Bill Frisell Begins Two-Week Village Vanguard Residency Tonight

Frisell_history_lg Bill Frisell begins a rare two-week residency at the Village Vanguard tonight in the first two of 13 sets with his 858 Quartet: Jenny Scheinman on violin, Eyvind Kang on viola, and Hank Roberts on cello. After a day's break, Bill will be back at the Vanguard for his second week of sets, this time with his quintet: Chris Cheek on sax, Ron Miles on trumpet, Tony Scherr on bass, and Rudy Royston on drums.
