Laurie Anderson's "Homeland" Leaves UK's Norfolk and Norwich Festival "Blown Away"

Laurie Anderson brings her Homeland tour to Italy today for a performance at the MaxLive auditorium in Vicenza. This past Monday, she was in the UK, where, after finishing her four-night residency at the Barbican in London, had taken the show to Norwich for the Norfolk and Norwich Festival. The Norfolk Eastern Daily Press's Ian Collins calls it "a blissful and blistering show" that left him "blown away."

In Homeland, Anderson "produces a mix moving with a slow fuse towards incendiary conclusions," writes Collins, that, for all their gravity, gain "fresh poignancy with some great jokes." In the end, he concludes, "Norwich loves Laurie Anderson."
